Update on the 2023 Nigeria Police Shortlisted Candidates
The 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory held a computer-based test to choose applicants for the constable cadre of the Nigerian Police, and the top candidates came from the Northern States.
South-eastern states including Lagos State exhibited apathy and showed up in smaller numbers.
According to a statement from the Police Service Commission (PSC), there were significant differences between the North and South in terms of the interest in joining the police constable cadre during the exercise.
While the South-east and Lagos once again had “continued apathy,” interest in joining the police was more obvious in the North-east, North-west, and North-central regions.

Note: To show that you completed the online application form, you must additionally bring the following items to the NPF training facility:
- A current passport photo
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Photocopies and the original credentials/certificates (neatly arranged in two white flat files)
- Correctly filled out Guarantor’s form.
- A valid form of identities, such as a passport, national identification card, voter card, or driver’s license
- Birth certificate, origin certificate, and age declaration
- Two (2) white canvas shoes
- White shorts in two pairs
- Two sets of white sheets for the beds
- Two (2) pairs of round-neck white vests
- Two pillowcases, both white
- White socks, two (2) pairs
- An insect net
